Your first stop is at the lookout point Eira do Serrado, one of the most beautiful places in Madeira with breathtaking views of the fascinating mountains, the lush green valleys and the village in the Valley of the Nuns.

The journey from here down to the village in the Valley of the Nuns (Curral da Freiras) takes about 20 minutes. The Nonnental, a small secluded village in the heart of the island, where in the 16th century, the nuns sought refuge from the pirates who often attacked Madeira. Here you can still experience the rural side of Madeira and the typical village life, because the locals live of primarily from what they grow themselves. Every year, the locals celebrate the ‘Chestnut Festival’, which the village is famous for. There are many traditional recipes containing chestnuts which you can almost make anything out of, mainly different liqueurs, cakes, puddings and soups. The native chestnuts are very tasty and are used widely in the everyday kitchen.

On the way back you will stop in the charming fishing village of Câmara de Lobos. Characteristic of this place are the many colorful fishing boats docking at the harbor and the Lobos‘ Stockfish -which traditionally is hung out here to dry. This place is proudly remembered at the time when Winston Churchill was inspired to paint. Câmara de Lobos is also home to the “Ponchas“, a drink made from freshly squeezed lemon juice, honey and sugar cane brandy, which you can try in one of the many small bars.

Câmara de Lobos, located 3.1 mi from Funchal, was named by the discoverers João Gonçalves Zarco and Tristão Vaz Teixeira due to the shape of its bay and the many monk seals that lived there at the time. The fishing town gained fame as Winston Churchill immortalized the site on many of his paintings.

Our journey continues to Cabo Girão, one of Madeira’s most famous tourist attractions. At 580 meters above sea level, Cabo Girão is the second highest cliff in the world and the highest sea cliff in Europe. The bravest can venture out of the viewing platform with a glass floor to enjoy a thrilling adrenaline rush over the steep cliff.

Continue to Ribeira Brava and then north through the deep and narrow Serra D’Água valley. You will drive 3303 ft up to Encumeada. The lookout point of Encumeada Pass is located on the ridge that runs through Madeira. From here you can enjoy incredible views of both the south and north coasts of the island.

After that, you will go down to the north coast where there is a mile-long, picturesque Atlantic coast, where the mountains fall directly into the sea. After São Vicente, one of the predominant villages on the northern coast of Madeira, you will continue to the beautiful village of Porto Moniz. Here you will have approximately 1 hour of free time for lunch, as well as time to admire the natural pools surrounded by bizarre lava rocks. The shallow pools, whose crystal-clear waters are replaced by the flood daily, are a popular seaside resort of the locals.

Continue on a panoramic road up to Paul da Serra, a plateau at almost 4593 ft with breathtaking views and incomparable scenery. The last stop on this wonderful tour is in Bica da Cana with a fantastic view of the Massif Central before your tour ends at the harbor.

The Teide Mountain is undoubtedly the place that most identifies Tenerife.

The Teide National Park is located in the center of the island, at an average altitude of 2,000 meters, and its summit represents the highest peak in Spain, with 3,718 meters. 

The Teide National Park was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2007. The structure of the boiler and the Teide-Pico-Viejo stratovolcano are unique on the planet. The park was created in 1954 in recognition of its volcanic and biological uniqueness. After picking you up at the cruise dock, we start the tour visiting the south of Lanzarote.

Our itinerary takes us to the coast of the Timanfaya National Park where we make a photo stop at El Golfo, one of the most beautiful volcanoes in Lanzarote, to enjoy the views over the green lagoon.

Then we drive along the coastline to reach Los Hervideros, where we enjoy free time to explore this half moon-shaped cliff, and Las Salinas de Janubio, a place of scientific interest because it is an area of migratory birds.

We leave the coast to get to the Timanfaya National Park, where our next stop will be at the Camel Park, located at the foot of the Mountain of Fire. It is there, where you will have the chance to experience the typical camel ride (optional) before heading La Geria, the vineyard region, where you will have some time to enjoy the landscape and to taste the Malvasía wine from Lanzarote.

In the way to Teguise, the old capital of Lanzarote, we drive nearby Monumento al Campesino. Teguise, is the oldest town on the Canaries and on Sundays we can enjoy an open market that occupies most of the center of the town.

Our route takes us to the highest panoramic view-point where we make a photo stop to enjoy the views over the northeast coast, Haria town, and the valley of a thousand palm trees.

We continue northwest, to get Famara Cliff from where we enjoy spectacular views over the Graciosa and Chinijo Archipelago. You have the chance to visit Mirador del Río. (Entrance not included)

Finally, we surround the volcano of La Corona to go to the northeast coast, where you will have the opportunity to visit Jameos del Agua (entrance not included)

Then, we return to the cruise ship.

Fuerteventura has the best beaches in the Canary Islands and is a paradise for water sports such as surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing.

Our tour takes us to the north of the island to enjoy our first stop in the Dunes of Corralejo, one of the best areas for water sports and from where we can enjoy the panoramic views over the island of Lobos and Lanzarote. The dunes are of a very white sand of marine origin, formed by mollusks and shells pulverized by the marine currents and that have been deposited in the northern coast occupying a surface of 2668 km2, along almost 8 kilometers of coast. 

This landscape of dunes that reach in some areas up to 50 meters contrast with the turquoise color of the sea. 

In November the International Kite Festival is celebrated and then, the sky becomes a colorful spectacle. 

We continue our excursion to Corralejo where we will have free time to explore its streets or simply to have a coffee in any of the many cafes located at the foot of the sea. From Corralejo we continue towards the northwest to visit El Cotillo. El Cotillo is a picturesque fishing village famous for its stunning coastline and the El Tostón tower, built in the 18th century, to defend the port from the constant attacks of pirates. 

In El Cotillo you can enjoy some free time to take a walk before returning to the dock to continue your cruise
