Lanzarote Volcano Tour and Timanfaya National Park

Discover the volcanic south of Lanzarote on a small-group tour of up to 14 people, accompanied by a local guide.

Our journey takes us to Timanfaya National Park, one of the island’s most extraordinary landscapes. At the Islote de Hilario, you will experience the geothermal demonstrations before continuing along the spectacular Route of the Volcanoes, through the heart of the Fire Mountains.

We will then explore Lanzarote’s volcanic coast, with stops at Los Hervideros and El Golfo, where you can see the striking green lagoon of Charco de los Clicos. We will also enjoy views of the Salinas de Janubio, an important part of Lanzarote’s traditional landscape.

We will also stop at the Echadero de Camellos, where you can take an optional camel ride before continuing the tour.

Discover the volcanic heart of Lanzarote on a 5-hour tour of the south of the island, accompanied by our local guide and in a small group of no more than 14 people.

Our first major stop will be Timanfaya National Park, one of Lanzarote’s must-see attractions and one of the most extraordinary volcanic landscapes in the Canary Islands.

We will travel along the spectacular Route of the Volcanoes aboard an authorised vehicle, discovering a landscape of craters, volcanoes and vast lava fields shaped by the major eruptions that transformed this part of the island.

At the Islote de Hilario, we will witness Timanfaya’s famous geothermal demonstrations and see how the heat from deep within the Earth is still present just beneath our feet.

We will then head towards the coast to discover El Golfo and its famous Green Lagoon, Charco de los Clicos. The intense green of the lagoon, the black volcanic sand and the blue of the Atlantic create one of the most distinctive landscapes in southern Lanzarote.

We will continue along the spectacular volcanic coastline to Los Hervideros, where the force of the ocean has eroded the lava over time, creating impressive rock formations and cavities. This visit is subject to local access conditions and restrictions.

We will finish our route by travelling through La Geria, Lanzarote’s unique wine-growing region. Here, you will discover how the island’s farmers transformed land covered in volcanic ash into an extraordinary vineyard landscape unlike anywhere else in the world.

You will also have the opportunity to visit the Echadero de Camellos (camel park) and take a camel ride through the volcanic landscape for an additional charge.
